My grandmother’s vanilla ice cream
I still remember the noise made by my grandmother’s shaking cream in a Tupperware: You know it by its sound when the ice cream is ready, the noise is much duller …She said to me.
Today is even easier with a good mixer!
Ingredients for 1 ice cream to serve 8 people:
- 50 cl whole cream
- 6 c. white sugar
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar
- 1/2 vanilla pod
- 2 egg yolks and 2 separate whites
Whip the cream until thickened Add the sugars and vanilla Add the 2 egg yolks Mix with a maryse Put in the 2 egg whites and add them to the mixture
Pour into a mold.
Add decorative meringues.
Place in the freezer for 1 night remove and wait for about 15/20 minutes before eating.
